The eleven toccatas from Frescobaldi's Secondo Libro, originally printed in 1627, are presented here in a text based on the definitive edition of 1637. Four of the toccatas are clearly intended for organ. In the case of the toccatas Quinta and Sesta, however, the possibility of performance on the harpsichord or organ without pedals, as suggested by the composer, is possible.
