After publishing the Trio No.6 in G major some time ago as ZM 30210 (where it is called No. 18 by mistake), we now want to continue the series of all six trios. Rolla was a violin player himself and later on, he rather played the viola. Thus he seemed to be made for the job to compose pieces with an instrumentation like this one. For a short time, he taught the violin to the most famous violin player of his time, Niccolò Paganini.
