Two Moods [Alf:36-20443195]

The two moods expressed in this quartet offer contrast, are complimentary to each other, and are technically well adapted to the characteristic qualities of the clarinet. "Meditation" is a song without words; very lyrical and expressive. "Whimsical Dance" is a change of mood to one of capriciousness, with its many changes of tempo, dynamics and tonality.  While not overy demanding technically, this short work calls for a great deal of musical sensitivity, making it an ideal selection a recital or contest.
