The melodies and harmonies of this work are original, but written in a traditional manner so that they sound like you might have heard them before. This makes Waltz and March an excellent piece for beginning players. The dedication to Dale Schubert is out of respect for his accomplishments as a music educator. he has served as adjudicator for a number of junior high ensembles who have performed the composer's ensembles in manuscript form many times throughout the years.
