Chopin: Waltz in A-flat Major, Opus 69, No. 1 [Alf:00-2156]

Also referred to as "The Farewell Waltz," this work presents a tender musical intimacy in its light and delicate texture and its beautiful, wandering melodies. Chopin presented a copy of this waltz as a farewell gift to Marie Wodzinska, to whom Chopin was once engaged. That autograph edition is the source for this sheet solo version which has optional editorial additions in gray print by Willard Palmer.
