Based on Willie Dixon's Spoonful, this work was written for and premiered by pianist Lisa Moore in 2006. Upon first hearing Dixon's Spoonful, Bresnick writes I knew I had heard something I would never forget that spoon, that spoon, that spoonful. Fantasia on a Theme by Willie Dixon (2001), a version for piano and amplified ensemble, is available on rental.
